PROMOTION OF TREES PLANTING IN THE HITTITES AND TAX EXEMPTION OF PIPE, JUNIPER AND PIRNAL TREES IN FRONT OF THE HOME

In Anatolian Hittites, those who planted ivory (pine, juniper, and holly) trees in front of their houses were exempted from the tax obligation paid to the state. Pine, juniper and holly trees represented tax exemption. This situation also showed that planting and planting trees was an important Hittite state policy.
